The delegates to the international ISO convention elected by SAA member groups are the shareholders in the ISO corporate structure. In annual and called meetings, the delegates represent the opinions and wishes of the member groups that elect them.
A meeting of the delegates is convened annually by the Board of Trustees at the time of the annual international convention. At that meeting, the delegates receive reports from the various ISO components – the Board of Trustees, the Literature Committee, and the ISO Office. The delegates then consider business items of interest to the fellowship-at-large.
In addition, acting in regional caucuses, the delegates elect members to fill vacancies on the Board of Trustees and the Literature Committee. In caucuses the delegates also identify persons to serve as regional coordinators for prisoner outreach and conduct any other business of particular interest to members and member groups in each region.
Each delegate to the international convention is elected to serve for a one year period of time.
Additional information about and for delegates is provided in the annual Call to Convention.
